Museum of Ceramics in East Liverpool, Ohio

...."On Saturday, Oct. 17 at 2 p.m. come hear "The Town Of 100 Potters: Seagrove, North Carolina." Museum of Ceramics Foundation vice-president Jeffrey E. Hendrickson will speak about his recent visit, and area history. Seagrove's pottery production began in the 18th century. Audience members will learn the facts about one claim that Seagrove is the nation's Pottery Capital. Seagrove ware is now available in the museum Gift Shop. Event is free with $4 admission. The Museum of Ceramics contains thousands of examples of pottery created in and around East Liverpool, Ohio. During the 19th and 20th centuries, East Liverpool was known as the Pottery Capitol of the USA.
