"The hottest ticket in town - or at least anywhere around - could be the $35 ducat that covers this weekend's Celebration of Seagrove Potters from opening gala to closing bell.

The event last year drew more than 400 to the Friday night gala and more than 5,000 from North Carolina and surrounding states to the two-day sales event. ".....

Celebration of Seagrove Potters Gala

This collaboration between Latham Pottery and Lufkin Pottery will be up for auction at the Celebration of Seagrove Potters' Gala Friday night.

Tickets still can be purchased for $35 and held at the door Friday evening. The Gala begins at 6:00pm.

Celebration of Seagrove Potters

The Celebration of Seagrove Potters is this upcoming weekend! Beginning Friday evening on the 19th the Gala opens up this famous pottery weekend at 6:00pm. Music, food, conversations with pottery lovers, and the collaborative auction all make for this evening to be loads of fun. You can sign up to win two tickets to the Friday night gala at the Celebration of Seagrove Potters website. The 35$ tickets are good for the whole weekend.

On Saturday morning the Seagrove pottery show opens up at 9:00am and on Sunday morning at 10:000 am. Each day there is a 5$ gate admittance. There will be demos in the afternoon and plenty of pottery to look at! The Celebration of Seagrove Potters includes the potters that live in and around the town of Seagrove.

Seagrove Pottery Wood Kiln Openings this weekend

Cady Clay Works and Ben Owen III will be having a Wood Fired Kiln Opening this weekend, November 6, on Saturday.

Theses two potteries are just down the street from one another! A two and one kiln opening day.

Their unusual kiln stair-steps a steep slope behind their studio to take advantage of natural drafts created when heat rises through the kiln from the firebox at the foot of the hill to the tall chimney at the top of the hill."....
